The weather became violent as the fierce gust of winds blew. She was scared - scared of herself as well as her surrounding. Drenched in rain, she entered her house. Numb. Mesmerized. Darkness filled her eyes. She walked towards the approaching darkness. After few steps, she stumbled upon something hard which left her leg bleeding. She didn't lose faith. She stood up supporting the object which was within her reach. As she advanced further, some sharp object pierced her arm. Unable to bear that pain, she sat in grief. Gaining all her strength, she managed to get back on her feet. She turned towards her right and headed towards what seemed like the dining table. Unaware that something was lying beneath, she walked around. Once again, she stumbled and this time it was the end of her strength. She curled up in a corner. She was broken into pieces. Lost. Alone. Unsure of what should be done, she lied on the frozen floor. She had lost all her hopes - in herself, in people, in humanity. She felt as if no matter how much times she gonna get up, some thing or the other will come in her way to hurt her. She was in the need of help..a support.. - Someone to drape those caring arms around her. Strong shoulder to rest her head on.
You will never leave where you are until you decide where you'd rather be ..

Evaporation of Sorrow
Today was just not my day. The day when I feel genuinely happy. On my way back home, I somehow got into the crowded train. To my surprise, I managed to get a seat after approx 3-4 mins (Trust me.. getting a seat in a crowded train during peak hours in that short span of time is something to write about. Rare thing !) So *like a boss* I quickly sat and thought of listening to music to avoid the chatter which was around me. Unaware that my playlist was on shuffle, I chose some random slow song and it was relaxing. Once the slow romantic track was over, some sad songs were played back-to-back but I being too lazy to change it, closed my eyes and was waiting for the song to finally end. But as if my cellphone had vowed to spoil my mood there came the 3rd consecutive sad song. Okay. Now that was enough. I had no choice but to get rid of shuffle mode.
That was the time I realized, what if our life is the playlist with incidents as songs. As there are sad as well as happy songs in each and everyone's playlist, same is the story of incidents in our lives. Sometimes when we make simple things complicated, certain complicated stuff becomes easy as pie. I am not the person who thinks into the depth of anything but when I do I always remember what it teaches me.
When I am able to change the song according to my choice why can't I change the way I react to certain things? Why can't I control emotions the way I controlled those songs?? It's in our hands to handle the situation, to gain control over our emotions, to evaporate sadness and live those happy moments once again. Because when life starts getting harder, we ourselves need to get stronger.

Foggy Visions
There are times when you are uncertain about everything in your life. Then you are compelled to choose. A choice between Right - Wrong, True - False, Illusion - Reality. You have to choose between Black or White. But you decide to settle down for Grey. You have no idea whether your decision is right at this moment or will prove to be right in the future. But still you live with the hope that everything clears as the time passes. You feel as if you are walking in a fog. But you don't realize when u fell in love with this foggy weather trying hard not to lose his vision as you walk along this path.
A Monsoon Minute :)
Our lecture was supposed to start at 7.30 am but as it was our 1st lecture this early we were given concession of 10 minutes. It WAS 7.30 am. So for a change, I entered the classroom 10 minutes before the lecture time just to find few people spread across the class (sorry for sounding it like "across the globe" ! ). Some listening to music, few completing their notebooks ( I'm in degree college and you will be pleased to know that these species still exist ! ) others gossiping. So as I walked through the benches I found that all the umbrellas were kept on the floor for drying (that's when I noticed I was drenched in rain ). Dodging all those umbrellas, I made my way towards the seat. Unsure as to what should be done to pass those 5-10 minutes, I started reading my notes ( in reality I just kept staring at the words wondering what was wrong with my handwriting that day !! ).
Finally ma'am entered the classroom and hardly 3 students wished her 'good morning' as if they were groaning for waking them up this early. Ignoring them, Ma'am replied back wholeheartedly. So the class of Contemporary World started with the topic of Security Pacts. The confused look on student's face hearing the Pact's names as well as country's ( some gave a look as if they were tongue twisters.. Probably Czechoslovakia !! ) was worth watching. Noticing all the reactions, Ma'am decided to dictate us rather than going into the depth of that dry topic. For few minutes everything was fine. The climate was cool because of rains. Dictation was going on with pin-drop silence. Suddenly Ma'am stopped the dictation all of a sudden and the reason was that she was distracted due to the rains and the resultant beautiful view of the chowpatty that was created ! She gave us a minute to stare at the heavenly showers. It was truly rejuvenating ! The horizon blurred and so did our worries. There was no difference between the shade of the sky and the sea. Maybe that's what they call picturesque view.
I couldn't help remembering the lines by William Henry Davies which I read on the very first page of my 10th standard English textbook which said -
"What is this life if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare."
Soon our Monsoon Minute ended with a big smile on everyone's face.
